1. Before you start
You need to make sure your window is suitable for a Perfect Fit Shutters:
Our Perfect Fit Shutters work great on windows with a curved/rounded window bead. Unfortunately, this product isn't yet suitable for square window beads (we're working on it)!
Your window frame needs to have at least 2.5cm clearance around all edges for your frame. You should measure from the edge of the bead outwards. Sometimes handles or trickle vents fall foul of this. This is to allow the shutter to overlap the glass.
Your rubber gasket shouldn't protrude more than 5mm away from the window bead.
When you have checked your window is suitable, read on to start measuring.
Not sure? Our friendly team are always on hand to help and advise if you're not 100% sure.
2. Measuring your window
Using your tape measure, measure the width and drop from bead to bead. Be sure to repeat this in three different positions across the window and give us the largest of the three measurements.
Top Tip: Do include your rubber gasket when taking your measurements. This is different to other styles of Perfect Fit blinds.
Important Note: Not suitable for windows with a gasket greater than 5mm.
3. Measuring the bead depth
When configuring your blind, you will be asked to provide your bead depth so we can provide you with the right size bracket which your blind clips on to. Simply place a credit card across the corner of your window frame, and measure from the glass to your credit card.
This measurement is usually between 1.8cm (18mm) and 3cm (30mm).
